The Kingdom of Ferunia and Trurnia (Romanyan Iberic: Regnum Ferunia et Trurnia, Illyrian Iberic: Raeno de Ferunia et Trurnia) was a historic nation in modern day New Illyricum which was established by Honorius Albanius and Marcellus Ternus in 679 after the fall of the Romanyan Empire as a dual monarchy centered at the two cities of Ferunia and Trurnia. With the decline of the rival New Kingdom of Illyricum in the ninth century, Ferunia and Trurnia came to expand significantly and too over vital gold trade routes running from the Andaluzian Mountains through Italus into the Grand Duchy of Dacia and southeastern Ecros. In 1197 the Sixteen Years War began against the Kingdom of Illyricum, which would eventually result in a major Ferunian and Trurnian victory and the cessation of the major city of Secundia into the kingdom. However succession disputes racked the country and Illyricum reconquered their lost land during the Daurian War in 1253, which caused a decline in Ferunian and Trurnian influence in the region. In 1313 the Kingdom of Tyrandor and the Confederation of Rivan invaded and defeated Ferunia and Trurnia, destroying its military and eliminating almost all of its regional influence. The Kingdom remained relatively stable throughout the next centuries, mostly operating in a semi-vassal state to Illyricum until the Illyrian War of Succession, when Catholic Julia II was defeated and secular Severus I invaded in retaliation. Severus was defeated in 1675, after which Ferunia and Trurnia regained much of its autonomy.
