The Illyrian Communist Revolution was a military conflict in the Second Republic of Illyricum from 1842 to 1848 which led to the death of president of Illyricum Romulonysyos Anyastynaxos and the eventual establishment of the United Socialist States of New Illyricum. The revolt began in 1842 following the Rono Field House Convention, in which Tito Moceo and other communist idealists and soldiers gathered and formed the Illyrian Communist National Coalition. In response, president Anyastynaxos gathered forces and engaged the communist rebels at the Battle of Pono Field House, where Moceo and other communist leaders were able to defeat the republican forces. Fighting continued sporadically across Illyricum for the next four years until the communist victories at the Battle of Ponelio and the Siege of Menon in 1846. Communist forces organized and pushed westward, initiating the two-year-long Armorolaus Campaign. Finally at the Battle of Armorolaus in August 1848, Anyastynaxos was killed and communist forces routed the republicans, effectively ending the Second Republic of Illyricum.
