SPECTER is an animated action-comedy TV show with drama elements created by Meni Aharon and produced by Or Billman. The show follows a fireteam of 6 merceneries from a fictional Private Military Company known as "SPECTER PMC", and their advantures worldwide. The show's runtime is typically 30 minutes long for normal episodes, with specials and season finales typically being 1 or 2 45 minutes long ones.

SPECTER, while starting with its first two seasons as a more light-hearted animated series, however by the end of its second season; "Circul nebuniei" (Jackian: "Circus of Madness") The show begins to explore darker tones such as Corruption, Drugs, Torture, war-related PTSD and Grey-sided conflicts, along with introducing two reoccuring rival PMC groups, the "Orkestr PMC" a PMC of doubious Slavic origin, and "Landsknecht-Gruppe PMC", an ACES countries-aligned PMC.

SPECTER has received critical acclaim, and is considered by many as one of the greatest animated shows of the late 2000's to today, However, the series was subject to criticism from several countries, notably those with a communist government system. The series has recived multiple awards such as the Pavulturilori Best-picture award of the years 2010, 2018, and 2023, tbd, and tbd. The show has also recived 2 spin-off shows, those being Muzykanty, which dives into the origins of the mysterious "Orkester PMC" and the other one being Sediu, a slice-of-life type series focused on the daily occurances inside the HQ of the "SPECTER PMC", along with a spin-off movie that is aledged to be in the works.

Plot

Season 1

Season 1, "A Doua Viață" (Jackian: "Second Life") serves as an introduction to the show, it's first episode introduces the viewers to the main characters while the rest of the season is comprised of mostly one-off missions that aren't initially connected, the season finale, episodes 019 and 020 ("O Călătorie pentru Care să Mori (Partae 1)" and "O Călătorie pentru Care să Mori (Partae 2)") sees the fireteam deal with an initially standard mission given to them by Creeperian military official Lieutenant Colonel Juan Sánchez Quesada, which later turns out to be a trap for them, however after narrowly avoiding death with the help of a creeperian Special agent Pedro Rivera Molina, they press onwards and manage to take revenge on Juan Sánchez Quesada.

Season 2

In season 2, "Circul Nebuniei" (Jackian: "Circus of Madness") The fireteam is still sent on mostly one-off missions, however there are ones that connect to others from previous episodes, including from season 1, this season's finale, episodes 039 and 040 ("Sinistră Orchestră (Partea 1)" and "Sinistră Orchestră (Partea 2)") introduce the first major reoccuring enemy force of the series, the Orkester PMC, along with episode 040 ending with the capture and torture of the fireteam's commander, Laiyla 'Uragan' Tumpeldor.

Season 3

The third season,"În Breșă" (Jackian: "In the Breach") opens with a rescue operation conducted by the fireteam to rescue their commander in a daring assault on an old fort occupied by "Orkester PMC" operatives, following the success, the rest of the season is split between one-off missions, exploring the main characters' backgrounds in a 6-episode special, and an overarching plotline to assassinate or otherwise combat and eliminate high ranking "Orkester PMC" members, the season's finale, episodes 059 and 060, ("Prieten sau Dușman?" and "Din nou Dușmani...") intoduces yet another rival PMC, this one being the "Landsknecht-Gruppe", which was breifly aligned with SPECTER PMC with the goal of earasing Orkester off the books, however, a conforntation between leaeders of both SPECTER and Landsknecht-Gruppe leads to the HQ of SPECTER PMC to be destroyed.

Season 4

The foruth season, "Așa este Viața" (Jackian: "Such is Life") opens with the aftermath of the finale of season 3, and follows the building of the new SPECTER HQ on one hand and on the other the 3 way war between SPECTER, Landsknecht-Gruppe, and Orkester PMCs, along with past allies and enemies thrown into the mix, in the season's finale, episodes 079 and 080 ("Foc de jur împrejur (Partae 1)" and "Foc de jur împrejur (Partae 2)"), the fireteam is split into 2, with Ariel, Laiyla and Wei infultrate the Orkester HQ, while tbd, Colm Melville and Emilia O'Gorman mount an assault on the known location of the commander of Landsknecht-Gruppe PMC, Colonel Maximilian after intelliegnece was obtained with the aid of a rogue SUN agent, while the infultration attempt at Orkester is successful, the assault on the Landsknecht-Gruppe results in the death of Colm Melville's in an explosion, following which, his sister and tbd are both forced to retreat.

Season 5

The fifth season, "Intre Rai si Iad" (Jackian: "Between Heaven and Hell") follows a drastic shift the global power balance, and the struggles of the fireteam to adapt following Colm's death, Season is still ongoing.

Criticism

Entropan

On 19 June 2013, in an interview with A Herolden, Entropanian Prime Minister Renáta Dobos referred to SPECTER as "a clear example of Romerist propaganda", noting how it "glorifies wanton brutality and violence". The right-wing Social Democratic Party has called for the show to be banned in Entropan, with its former leader, Amanda Sivert, calling it "perverse Romerist rubbish".

New Illyricum

On 14 June 2016 NI officials described the show as "Part of the elaborate Pavulturilori propaganda machine, indoctrinating children with thoughts of war and hate".
