The Montesayettean Defense Forces (Quebecshirite: Armée de Défense Montesayette; ADM) are the military forces of Montesayette. The defense forces are divided into four branches: the Army, the Airborne Force, the Air and Space Force, and the National Maréchaussée. The Internal Troops, which operate under the Department of Internal Affairs during peacetime, serve as the defense forces' reserve force in times of war. As stipulated by the Montesayettean Constitution, the overall leadership of the defense forces is held by the head of the Montesayettean Defense Forces. During peacetime, this role is fulfilled by the Minister of Defense, but in times of a state of defense, responsibility is transferred to the President. The defense forces are the sole military wing of the Montesayettean security apparatus.
