Gjorka has access to Nuclear Power since 1978, when the first reactor became operational at the [[Ballykeeran Nuclear Power Plant]] located near [[Keswick]], [[Dundalk (District)|Dundalk]]. Since then, 8 more reactors have been constructed with the original reactor at Ballykeeran having been decommissioned in 1991, and a second reactor built in 1982 at [[Saggart Nuclear Power Plant]] having been decommissioned in 2001.
