The Gjorkan Republican Army (Gjorkan: Arm Poblachtach Gjorkan), often abbreviated as APG, was a paramilitary organization that operated from 1918 to 1972 that sought the restoration of Gjorkan Democracy. The APG was the largest and most successful democratic resistance group during the Gjorkan Resistance. The APG was founded in 1918 during the Second Gjorkan Civil War by loyalists who refused to acknowledge their government's surrender. By 1923 however the group had disavowed it's allegiance to the First Gjorkan Republic. In 1935 the left-wing members of the army broke away to form the Gjorkan Liberation Army. Following the Black Revolution and the restoration of Gjorkan democracy, the APG disbanded on November 11, 1972 along with the majority of Gjorka's other paramilitary organizations.
