Carlos III Navarro (born 25 December 1963) is the reigning King of Tyrandor and Commander-in-Chief of the Federal Tyranian Armed Forces.
Carlos was born in 1963 as the sole child of Sebastian the Great and Elyssandra Hernández. At two years old, he witnessed the disastrous reign of King Ardhan that saw his father, at the time a general in the 1st Army of Tyran, conduct the swift 1965 coup d'etat to remove the king following the devastation of the Week of the Bonfires. In the aftermath, Sebastian was elected king by his officers, and the infant Carlos was thrust into the line of inheritance of the throne.
Receiving court-funded education through the University of Vyrakar and pursuing a quite successful military career, Carlos was well-versed in both politics and military stratagem by the time of his coronation as king. Ending his military career early in December of 1989-- at the rank of lieutenant colonel-- to be with his father Sebastian, who was on his deathbed at the time. Three days after his father resigned from the throne, he was coronated at Vyrakar Citadel and assumed the throne on 16 December 1989, becoming the 27th King of Tyrandor.
