The Shaoyu Liberation Party (Monsilvan/Luhainese: 哨域解放党; HY Pinyin: Shàoyù Jiěfàngdǎng; Haimao Pinyin: Saauwihk Gáaifongdóng; Shaoyunese: Сааувихк Га́аифонгдо́нг) is a political party in the Monsilvan Republic whose sole purpose is to promote the re-integration of Shaoyu Island into Monsilva. The party was created in 2018 after the Legislative Assembly of Monsilva passed the RSSI Act 2018 which, as well as creating the party, declared 56 extra seats will be added to the Legislative Assembly which will be permanently occupied by the party. These extra seats to do not represent a constituency and the members who sit in them are not able to vote on any legislations, and are only able to join debates and discussions relating to Shaoyu Island. The seats were physically introduced to the assembly in 2020, after the 2020 federal election and will appear in polling and election results from the 2023 federal election.
The party consists of 10 members, who are designated after every federal election proportional to each party in the assembly. The members are usually naturalized or verifiable descendants of Shaoyunese (Akvatikan) people, however if these people cannot be found to fill all 56 members, any politician who is openly for the party's goals will be appointed instead. Ngáhhah Yilàhm, a native Shaoyunese person who left the island to Monsilva in the 1990s, is the current Chairperson of the party. The Chairperson does not sit in the Legislative Assembly. Meanwhile Feinóh Fujimìhng is another native Shaoyunese person who is the Designated Premier of Shaoyu. The Designated Premier is the primary representative chosen by the leading party in the Legislative Assembly as of the latest election. The Designated Premier, should Shaoyu ever be administered by Monsilva, automatically becomes Premier of the Island until a state election is possible.
