The Reykani Air Force (Reykani=Flugherinn Reykani),(Salisfordian: Aeronautica Militare Recania) is the air force of Reykanes. It was established as a separate arm of the Reykani Defence on 10 November 1950. The FR's peacetime establishment is approximately 950 employees (officers, enlisted staff and civilians). 600 personnel also serve their draft period in the FR. After mobilization the FR would consist of approximately 1050 personnel. It is the smallest of the three branches in the Reykani Defence.
At the creation of the Air force, it inherited the planes from the Army of Reykanes, however they were extremely outdated, so immediately a modernization process started.
The infrastructure of the FR includes two air bases. Hóll and Hafnir and 2 training centres at Værnes and Leoburg.
