The Army of Reykanes(Reykani:Her Reykjaness) was a field army of the Entropan Army that garrisoned the Principality of Reykanes from early 19th century until the independence of Reykanes in 1949. The army included units of made up of Entropan settlers and indigenous Reykani.

Composition

The Army of Reykanes included local Reykani volunteers but it consisted of mainly Entropans. Due to the long distance most Entropan recruits would temporarily move to Reykanes. Resulting in a large percentage of Entropans in Reykanes. All commanders and officers were Entropan. The Army consisted of mostly light infantry and a few regiments of elite mountaineers and ski troops.

History

Before 1802 the Principality of Reykanes was garrisoned By the Entropan army. It was created due to the large distance between the mainland and the colony and thus supply for the troops were limited. Due to infighting in Entropan, the Army of Reykanes was established that's based in Reykanes, to protect Reykanes from any threat.

Modernization Period

The 20th century was a time for a modernization in the military. The Army of Reykanes decided that a modernization period is needed. To bring in or start to to manufacture modern equipment. The first aircraft were introduced in 1922.
