The Cavalry Guard is one of the reserve components of the Gjorkan National Armed Forces. The Guard makes up around 1/6th of all reserve personnel within the Armed Forces. They are under Federal control however the Districts are be granted the ability to call on Guard to protect them. However, Federal power remains supreme and the President of Gjorka may block a district's ability to call on the Guard. Guard members serve part-time, and are only on duty during training or whenever called to defend national interests. In the event of war, the Guard is dissolved and it's members are called to duty under the Gjorkan Ground Forces.
