'Not Gagium' v. '!Your Average WA Foamer "Baltanla'" was an informal court case between Baltanla (represented by his lawyer Pavulturilor) and Gagium, the prosecutor in the case. The case began after Baltanla, at 1:50 AM EST, made a discord message claiming "we do condone the cleansing of non-straight p-" in the #tra-general discord chat. They then claimed to "plead the 5th" and summoned their lawyer, Pavulturilor, after which Gagium began pursuing prosecution for various crimes Baltanla had allegedly committed against its LGBTQ+ population. After a short trial held initially in #tra-general and then in #bots-and-spam, the jury, consisting of just Rakhman, declared that Baltanla was "guilty of his crimes," after which the judge, Majocco, declared that the defendant was guilty and would be punished. At 2:31 AM EST, Paleocacher banished Baltanla to the Time Cube dimension.
Background
In the months leading up to the trial, Baltanla had made various comments implying that his Terraconservan nation, Baltanla, had a sketchy history regarding its treatment of LGBTQ+ individuals. On 23 January 2023, Baltanla created a wiki page titled ""LGBT rights in Baltanla," stating that the nation "finds cross-dressing quite funny" and "transgenderism is allowed." However, on 18 July 2023, Baltanla stated "I've allowed everything in Baltanla for LGBT except for Transgender," indicating a possible contradiction. Additionally, on 9 March 2024, Baltanla stated that "Baltanla history of lgbt from 2500 BCE to 1995" involved poor treatment of the community and stated that 1995 was when the nation "allowed LGBT."
At 1:48 AM EST on 17 March 2024, Baltanla posted a photo of a heavily armored police vehicle in the tra-general discord chat, with an individual in a dog costume standing out of a hatch. Gagium questioned why it appeared that a "furry" was "driving the tank," after which Baltanla stated that the image was from "a parade in majocco" and then stated that "we do condone the cleansing of non-straight p-." At 1:51 AM EST, Baltanla pled the 5th and stated that they will no longer speak "till (Gagium) speak(s) to my lawyer Pavulturilor." A minute later, Pavulturilor entered the chat and stated that Gagium may ask any question they'd like, after which Gagium asked Pavulturilor to explain the 50% reduction in LGBTQ+ identifying people in baltanla between 2010 and 2020." Gagium then implied that the nation of Baltanla was carrying out various crimes against LGBTQ+ people, including "forcibly 'coercing' citizens to comply with strict anti-LGBT laws." After which, at 1:55 AM, Pavulturilor demanded that Gagium "present his evidence," thus leading to an informal trial commencing against Baltanla.
