The LCN–UCN War fought between the League of Conservative Nations (LCN) and United Conservative Nations (UCN) between sometime in early June through 8 July 2018, at which point the government of the UCN effectively ceased to exist. The conflict was marked by a failed Security Council resolution, hostile API telegrams, and infiltration efforts, as well as collaboration between the LCN and The Communist Bloc, which was previously unthinkable in LCN politics.

Background
On 30 May 2016, Nagarno joined the League of Conservative Nations (LCN), claiming to have been invited by Adawn. Later that day, they announced they would be running for the presidency of the region, as a self-described strong and experienced conservative, and announced a draft constitution. Sanders Centre, from the United Alliance Of Conservative Nations (UACN), warned that Nagarno was “as conservative as a Progressive Democrat from the United States of America” and attacked their record in their own region as being autocratic and for big government. Crogoaha, also from UACN, likewise warned that the reason Nagarno had left their region was because of their inability to gain power through the region’s electoral process. Quebecshire attacked the draft constitution put forward by Nagarno as a joke, politically correct, and communist.
By 5 June 2016, Nagarno had won the support of military leaders Quebecshire and Andrew Du in his bid for the presidency. On 7 June 2016, Nagarno was recognized as president of the region. The military leadership had a dispute over whether or not the president had the authority to unilaterally declare war, and whether or not the military could unilaterally pursue raids. This crisis was precipitated by the successful raids on the regions of LASS and Legion of Nazi. On 9 June 2016, Quebecshire announced that unless Nagarno was recalled from office, he would lead the military to another region. Nagarno was also exposed at this time for operating a number of puppets in the region. Adawn unilaterally decided to ban Nagarno, despite discussion suggesting that Nagarno should face trial for treason and puppet fraud.
In 2017, Nagarno returned under the pseudonymous alias of Eretz Yisreal, but was then expelled by the League of Conservative Nations by the Homeland Security Agency. In late 2017, they were allowed back under the condition that they would not be allowed to seek citizenship and politically engage with the region. This was justified by Quebecshire, who stated privately that it was “It’s better to hav [sic] restricted him here knowing it’s him than puppets and chaos flying around NS”. At some point, despite the earlier agreement, they were given citizenship. Nagarno then established a far-right party, called the National Front party, talked to Consul Salisford about finding new citizens who might join the party, and attempted to get another player from Bunicken to join the LCN and join his party. For this, General Sicilian permanently suspended Nagarno’s citizenship. Nagarno sued the Defense Administration over the suspension on 30 May 2018 in Nagarno v. Three Sicilian States. When the actions of the defense administration were upheld by the court, Nagarno left for a new region of their own creation, the United Conservative Nations.
Concurrently with Nagarno's departure and establishment of a new region, existing fascist region the The Iron Fortress had an exodus of players in June 2018, which served to populate the fledgling United Conservative Nations, which was ostensibly a conservative monarchist region with a parliament. Because of the previous history of Nagarno’s interference with the LCN’s politics, citizens were doubtful that Nagarno would not use the region to continue to subvert the LCN.
Course of the war
In late May 2018, elections were called by Consuls Quebecshire and Salisford, which resulted in Fandom's replacement by Eminople as Prime Minister of the LCN on the next round of elections.
Spode began a private infiltration effort on 5 June 2018, and formed an extralegal organization called Fighting For Us, which aimed to eliminate the government of the UCN. Zion and Calamari were invited first, as was Icaris. Icaris joined, but didn’t like that the server was operating independently of the government, and so prompted Spode to invite Quebecshire.
The UCN began sending API telegrams to residents of the LCN on 6 June 2018, and was discussing internally on 7 June 2018 an aim to influence the election through both API telegrams and offensive R/D actions.
Crimsonfield attempted to condemn the LCN in the World Assembly's Security Council. The proposal went to vote, which outside observers suggested was due to a campaign telegram, but was defeated 14,885 votes to 2,398 on 12 June 2018.
Attempts to mediate peace agreements by Prime Minister Eminople on 6 and 15 June 2018 both fell through.
On 24 June 2018, the LCNAF attempted to detag the region Democratic Socialist Alliance, which had been tagged by the UCN. The operation's goals were completed, but it was a concurrent operation by the Pacific's Legio forces who seized the delegacy and restored the region.
A second round of API telegrams were sent to the LCN on 27 June 2018.
Sometime between June 30 but prior to 7 July 2018, the obsensibly democractic elements of the UCN, lead by PM Crimsonfield, left the region.
Operation Iron Justice
On 7 July 2018, an operation was launched aiming to humiliate the UCN government. While the operation amounted to a tag raid, it also included the exposure of most of the remaining UCN government as operatives from the LCN, with Urshawabad and Citarkle (operated by Icaris and Spode respectively) reveiling themselves. These government positions in the UCN Royal Guard and regional monarchy remained vacant until the end of the conflict. Nagarno posted following the raid, complaining that the LCN was "[a] land that does not no [sic] God", and stating that the UCN would ultimately prevail over "war agains [sic] thenRed [sic] Devil".
Conclusion of hostilities
The UCN, devoid of any activity, ceased to exist and was refounded. Nagarno would go on to be in the regions Reestablished Axis Powers, Otasija, founded Greater Union Of Conservative Nations, and reappeared on NationStates for brief periods in 2020, 2021, and 2022. They never established themselves in a region to a similar degree after 2018.
Collaboration with The Communist Bloc
Spode contacted Premier Ubertas of The Communist Bloc on 25 June 2018, and asked for support in liberating the Democratic Socialist Alliance in order for LCNAF personell to be able to liberate the Federation of Communist States. In communications, they favorably comparing it to the alliance of Churchhill and Stalin against the Nazi regime. On 30 June 2018, they would become one of the few foreigners to ever address the League’s legislature, urging the regions to unite in destroying Nagarno’s “monarchist hellhole”, and led to the signing of the Agreement for Inter-Regional Security & Co-Operation on the same day.
Legacy
A lot of the war and immediate post-war era was marked by describing the conflict in in-character terms, which morphed into an out-of-character understanding over time that Nagarno was substantially worse than an in-character dictator. Information collected by Spode under the pseudonym Nootne included Nagarno remarking that he had been in the white nationalist organization Identity Evropa, with that information later being confirmed and expanded upon by information shared by The Communist Bloc. Until the 2022 Confederacy of Layem raid, the destruction of the United Conservative Nations was the most successful antifascist operation conducted by The League, and elements from the war would reappear in the Wars of the Gentlemen's Coalition, with the 2019 Farkasfalka Raid being called Operation Indoneisa after one of the planned operations from the Fighting For Us server, G30S.
8 July was recognized as Victory Day on 25 June 2019 by Council of the Republic Law 5.
Crimsonfield, who had led the UCN against the League of Conservative Nations went to the Federation of Conservative Nations, instigating the region's Crimsonfield Crisis.
The military treaty Agreement for Inter-Regional Security & Co-Operation signed during the conflict served as the basis for the eventual renewal of The League's relations with TCB in 2021 with the July 8th Accords, which would remain until the total collapse of League–Bloc bilateral relations on 17 April 2022.
Security Council Resolution #474, the commendation of Spode Humbled Minions, cited the conflict and FFU.
