John Madigan Burreaux (born March 23, 1967) is the current Vice President of Gjorka. Before entering the vice presidency, he was the CEO and founder of Seoltap, as well as the owner of Spéir airlines.
Born in Baltimore, Burreaux graduated from Alexander University with a bachelor's degree in economics. Burreaux began his career working at Cruach Éire in the mining company's sales division. In 1995, Burreaux left Cruach to found Seoltap, an online payment service, with college friend Wayne Fricker. As CEO of Seoltap, Burreaux grew the company into Gjorka's largest online payment service. Burreaux briefly became Gjorka's richest man in 2005. In 2007, Burreaux purchased ultra-low cost airline Spéir. Spéir became Gjorka's second largest airline under Burreaux, behind only the country's flag carrier of Aer Gjorka.
Burreaux was early donor to the political campaigns of Carter Morris, being Morris's first major political donor when she ran for a National Assembly seat in 2006. Morris and Burreaux developed a close friendship, with seldom political Burreaux often speaking at rallies with Morris. Burreaux was a major backer for Morris during her presidential campaign, including being her initial National Finance Chairman. However, following Morris's victory in the Gjorka united primaries, she controversially selected Burreaux as her running mate for Vice President. Their ticket went on to win the 2021 election, with Burreaux becoming the first vice president to have no prior public service.
