Nassau's selection as Prime Minister by President Avi Navon shocked the country. Navon ran on heavily regulating the energy sector and bolstering renewable energy solutions; however, Nassau spoke on working with the President to continue producing energy through fossil fuels but in a cleaner and more efficient way. He claimed he brought renewable solutions to his corporation during the end of his tenure which allowed him to trust the moves Navon wanted to make. He also claimed he adhered to strict worker standards while running his multi-billion dollar corporation, agreeing to the stricter overall business regulation and compellance laws. Many have claimed Nassau's "workers rights" initiatives at the Nassau Corporation weren't all they were marketed to be and his rating of "Top Equitable & Fair Workplaces in Icaris" wasn't totally honest.
When Elise Shamir was elected President, Nassau and Shamir agreed his tenure would be over and he sought to run for the State Ministry. He knew she wanted to tap a Libertist who was more in favor of less business and energy regulations.
After Navon's death in 2054, Nassau made statements about their "unlikely partnership" wasn't actually as friendly and fruitful as it was made to look. He claimed Navon often bullied the legislature and traded political favors to meet his ends and disregarded Nasssau's autonomy as Prime Minister altogether.
