Red Flood Lurjize (Uulgadzan: Мигулисм Лурж, lit. 'Miguelism Lurjize'), also known as Red Flood, was an Uulgadzan animated apocalyptic television series produced by Respublika Studios, animated by Dark Horse Productions, and directed by Togh Yargai. It was broadcast on Channel Uulgadzar from September 1996 to June 2000. Red Flood Lurjize is set in a post-apocalyptic world where the National Council won the Creeperian Civil War and went on the conquer the rest of the world. The protagonist is a Sequoyan boy named Wesa Basilia who is conscripted into the Lurjizean army for what the Lurjizean government calls the "Final Crusade" against large Miguelist countries that had conquered the rest of the world.
Red Flood explores the effects of war on civilians and the result of total control of a population by a totalitarian government. It draws strong comparisons between Romerism and Miguelism, especially through portraying Lurjize, a Romerist state, and the various Miguelist states of the world similarly, just with differences in economic policy. The politicization of religion and culture also plays a major role in the series. It portrays the Creeperian Catholic Church as an entity solely for the use of promoting Miguelism, similar to how it is used to bolster the credibility of the Romerist Creeperian government in reality.
Red Flood has received critical acclaim, and is generally considered one of the greatest animated series of the 1990s. However, the series was subject to criticism from communist and Romerist groups for its comparisons between the ideologies of Romerism and Miguelism. The series is one of the highest grossing television franchises in Uulgadzar, with related products grossing over ₮750 million worldwide since the series' end in 2000.
