Real Parante Balompié d'Principati (Royal Parante Prince's Football), commonly referred to as Real Parante, is a Montcrabin professional football club based in Montcrabe City. The club competes in the Crabliga A, the top flight of Montcrabin football.
Founded in 1901 as Santo Parante Balompié, Real Parante was one of 10 government-funded clubs to found the Balompié Competicion, predecessor to the Crabliga. The club is one of the most expensive sports teams in the world, and widely considered one of the most popular thanks to its exciting attacking football and prominence in competition. Real Parante has many rivalries with other Montcrabin clubs, including the Le Clasique with Inter Montena, the Derby Capitalien with Moinsel KS and Reguecos, and the Derby del Balompié with Sinatre. Since its construction in 2015, Real Parante play their games at the 89,000 capacity Stade Zinedine Monscrabel, shared with the Montcrabe national team.
Real Parante is the most successful team in Montcrabe, with 24 league titles, 14 Taça de Montcrabe, and 23 Supertaça Ricardo Cabral - a total of 61 domestic accolades (including 6 domestic treble seasons). Additionally, the club has won a variety of Surian competitions, most notably the CONFUSUR Surcampeon, X times, and the CONFUSUR Continental, another X times. The Terraconservan Club Cup, which the club has won X times, also solidifies their spot as one of the most competitive football teams in the world.
Despite its successes, Real Parante was almost relegated twice, came close to bankruptcy, and failed to win a single trophy through the 1974-1978 seasons. This, albeit short 4-year period, is still known by many as the "Crown's Tragedy". Despite having won the Crabetto patch and Supertaça Ricardo Cabral in the 1973 season, Real Parante's main players mostly retired due to age, or suffered big drop-offs in level for the following few seasons. Calls and protests were soon made for then-club president Nino Brave to be removed from his post, due to his lack of trust toward young players and the lack of investment that seemed to be put into stabilizing the team. Following Brave's pressured resignation, Victore Rothscrab was appointed to fix the historic club's glaring issues. Investment from Montcrabe Principati Zinedine Monscrabel, who had been crowned half a year prior, is attributed as the club's controversial saving grace. Under Rothscrab's presidency, Real Parante won the 1979 league and supercup, returning to the standard they were normally held at.
Real Parente's most successful period came during the early turn of the millennium, in a team that included Crabliga record top-scorer Antoine Batistuta, breakthrough goalkeeper Francois Ochoa, and historic midfield duo of Patrice Patricio and Evelio Saldaña Durán. Through the entirety of the 2003-04 season, the team went completely unbeaten in competitions, allowing it to win a treble. Breaking the record of goals scored by a team in a single season, and then breaking it again in the following. With a recorded streak of 49 unbeaten games in the league, the team's ludicrous success is still remembered by the nickname of Les Invictorees, or "The Invincibles", widely considered to have been one of the best teams in sports history.
