Symbolism
An official statement on the symbolism of the flag's colors hasn't been released by the Avengisian government, although a popular interpretation has it that the black stands for the strength gained by the uniting of the tribal confederations, the blue for the waters surrounding Avengis, and the grey for the transition of individual tribal identities to a single national identity. The Deathbat is often interpreted as a symbol of tradition, a view which is commonly supported by the government.
