David Schaunesten was born to a well off family, and went to one of the most prestigious schools in Abersiania, Schoefengen Academy. From there he served 3 years in the airforce, with 6 confirmed kills, 3 in the Aberso-Illyrian war, making him an ace. For this he was awarded the Silver Cross and Lion's Cross, along with the standard Airmans Cross issued to commemorate the individuals service in the military. He had already been heavily involved in politics before being drafted up to the Aberso-Illyrian war due to his skill as a pilot, having been a primary minister for the Liberaulsh Party for a year prior.
