Schoefengen (Schoafenlausch) was founded in 651AD and became the capital in 1456 when the monarchy was put into place. It is located in the most densely populated area of Abersiania on the biggest island, Maufen. It currently has a population of a little under 11 million. It is the biggest city in Abersiania, claiming the title in 1788 from the city Shkanden in the south east. Since then it has been rebuilt twice, after the Fire of Schoefengen and the bombings in the Abersianian Civil War.
History
Schoefengen is one of the oldest known settlements in Abersiania, evidence of permanent settlers date as far back to 79 AD, however the founding of the city under the name Schoefengen is documented to be in 651 AD. The city has had a turbulent history, the site of many terrorist attacks and riots. It was the city worst affected by the Abersianian Civil War and had to be mostly rebuilt as lagre areas were flattened
