Cordia, officially the Republic of Cordia, is a country in northern Ecros. It is bordered by Entropan to the south, the Vernier Ocean to the east, and ungoverned territory to the west. Its climate is largely boreal in the south and tundra in the northern region of the country, which sits above the Glaceis Circle. Its capital is Cordasfjord, which sits on the southern coast of the Ellefsen Peninsula, though its largest city is Brenville, near the Entropan border.
The Cordian government is a presidential republic currently led by President Peter Henriksen. Under Cordian law, the president is elected directly by a popular vote every six years, and may only serve for one term. The Cordian legislature, the Nasjonaltingen, consists of 99 representatives. 83 of these are apportioned among the eight provinces according to their population. Each province also receives two of the remaining sixteen seats. Nasjonaltingen representatives serve three-year terms, and may not serve for more than three terms.
