Cherzia–Reykanes relations refers to the diplomatic and economic relations between the Second Armed Republic of Cherzia and the Republic of Reykanes. Relations were established on 12 March 2022, after the events of the Reykan neutrality ended and the sanctioning of Ajakanistan in the events between them and Paleocacher from Reykanes. It started during the events of the Second Cherzian–Ajaki War, after sanctioning, they called out Ajakanistan after their bad treatment of local citizens. At the end of the war, they maintained a semi-good relations. When the war ended on 29 june 2022, two months later on 29th of August 2022, they allowed the government to be exiled to Reykanes. Which led to Reykanes to recognize Cherzia on 2 September 2022. This lasted till 15th of March 2023, after the OU military intervention in Ajakanistan ended. This was done to ensure better relations with the new government in Ajakanistan, however Reykanes continues their policy to ensure a better future for Cherzians. Reykanes recognized Cherzia for 7 months.

Recognition and diplomatic relations

Reykanes became the first TCN member to recognize and establish diplomatic relations with Cherzia as an independent state on 2nd of September 2022. On 2 September 2022 a recognition agreement between the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Cherzia, Ranko Sandić, and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Reykanes, Katrín Jakobsdóttir was signed.

Meetings between officials

Representatives of Cherzia and Reykanes frequently meet, normally in Reykanes due to Cherzia not being suitable at the time, discussing the future agreements.

12 March 2022

Representatives of Reykanes traveled to Cherzia to speak with Cherzian officials of their view of the war and to call out Ajakanistan of their treatment of citizens. Reykanes openly supported peace in Cherzia.

17 July 2022

The second round of the meetings were held about expanding relations in the future.

29 August 2022

On this date, the Cherzian government exiled to Reykanes after inviting them. Reykanes was fully open to host the government in exile. Officials talked about recognition of Cherzia from Reykanes to expand their support against Ajakanistan.

2 September 2022

The day when Reykanes recognized Cherzia as an independent country.
