Baltanla Airlines Flight 284 was a scheduled Baltanla Airlines flight which crashed on final approach to Port Mitrea International Airport in Baltanla on 3 September 1997. The Ajaki-built Vass Va-134B-3 airliner crashed approximately 800 metres (2,600 ft; 870 yd) short of the Port Mitrea runway, killing 78 of the 80 people on board. As of 2023, it remains the 8th most deadliest accident in Baltanese Aviation history. Upon investigation, the crash was determined to have been the result of improper actions by the pilot.
