The Traditionalist Party, is one of two major political parties in Theocratic States of Icaris, its main rival being the Libertist Party. It is the largest political party in the nation and nine of the eleven Icarisian presidents have members of the Traditionalist Party.

Political Positions
Economic Policies
The Traditionalist Party follows a social market economic agenda as opposed to enterprise capitalism. They believe the government has a right to provide safety and security for its citizens including ensuring businesses serve the community and common good.
Business regulation
The Traditionalist Party supports small businesses and regulates the economy to protect the consumer and serve the highest good. They believe capitalism is best for the betterment of the people not simply for wealth generation.
Consumer protection and privacy
They believe the government's regulation of businesses to protect its citizens. This includes support for laws against large conglomerates and monopolies. They also believe the government has the right to protect the privacy of consumers and supports laws and regulations on businesses collecting private data and information, business conent contol and censorship.
Trade
The Traditionalist Party opposes total free trade and believes it's detrimental to Icarisian businesses and worker opportunities.
Labor unions
The Traditionalist Party supports government subsidies for labor unions and believes they are the vehicle for worker rights and consumer protections. The Traditionalist Party supports compellance laws, which "compell" the labor unions to enact certain outlined worker rights and benefits at the risk of losing the government subsidy.
Taxation
The Traditionalist Party supports "opt-in" income taxation to fuel the social safety net. Depending on the social programs, if an individual wishes to use it, they can "opt-in" to a certain program and thus will pay the amount required in taxes. The Traditionalist Party also supports a yearly business income tax without the "opt-in" policies to support the SSN.
Immigration
The Traditionalist Party supports a thorough, in-depth, and extensive citizenship process to ensure safety and seucrity of both the citizenry and the stability of resources.
Foreign policy and national defense
The Traditionalist Party follows a Nanti ethics combined with Icarisian exceptionalism to drive foreign policy and national defense. They believe in cumpulsory military service but largely defensive. On foreign policy, the Traditionalist Party supports a limited diplomatic skope that promotes the values and liberties of Icaris on the global stage. The Traditionalist Party supports nationalism over globalism.
Social policies
Healthcare
The Traditionalist Party believes the government's place is to protect the well-being of the public and therefore believes in government sponsored and led healthcare. The government should provide affordable healthcare to those who need it.
Environmental Policies
The Traditionalist Party supports laws that boost environmental protection and conservation. This includes subisides for renewable energy (particularly nuclear and solar), energy efficiency and independency, as well as protection of natural resources.
Faith and religiosity
The Traditionalist Party largely uses faith and the morals that come from that faith in decision-making. While not all members are of faith, some believe and have faith in Icarisian exceptionalism if nothing else. The party believes in freedom of religion and supports organizations that serve the common good. The Traditionalist Party strongly believes in the nation's classification as a Theocracy and should be governed a such.
Abortion, reproductive rights, LGBT+ and marriage policies
The Traditionalist Party stands strongly against abortion and any governmental funding of abortion. The Traditionalist Party also believes a marriage should be between the couple and the religious institution, not the government or state. The Traditionalist Party does not believe the government should be involved in marriage and believes in sexuality follow the morale and ethical guidance from the Nanti faith.
Firearm and private weapon ownership
The Traditionalist Party firmly supports the right for private citizens to protect themselves, have the means, and opportuntiy to protect themselves via private weapon ownership.
Drugs and alcohol
The Traditionalist Party believes not in the outlawing of drugs and alcohol, but in high taxation and regulation of such substances that can be very harmful to the citizenry.
