In 1801 a group of Cauvunianist pilgrims, led by Juleo Balo, led an expedition in to The Eisley Desert in order to escape the intense religious persecution of the Republic of Illyricum. They established the independent Protestant Republic of The Eisley after purchasing land from local nomads around the town of Marinicum. The Protestant Republic was isolationist and little contact with them was held, until in 1852 Grand Marshall of the Union, Tito Moceo, commissioned a group of soldiers to capture Marinicum and to overthrow the country's Protestant government. For two years minimal fighting continued between the socialist forces, under Luceo Alo, and the Protestant soldiers and their nomadic allies. In 1854, Socialist forces ambushed Protestant riders at Cantebridgium Canyon and killed or captured them all. This socialist victory ultimately ended the Protestant Republic, as Marinicum fell after minimal combat on May 16, 1854.

Two weeks after the fall of Marinicum, Luceo Alo was elected as the first President of the Socialist Republic of The Eisley. The Eisley relied heavily on their ally, New Illyricum, to provide weapons, supplies, and most importantly water, which was an extremely race recourse in the desert at the time. The Eisley nominally claimed the entirety of The Eisley desert, however most of the desert was uninhabited or de facto ruled by local nomadic tribes. Due to it's political and economic reliance on New Illyricum, The Eisley was forced to join on their side in the Second Călăneasan War, in which it provided minimal aid. The Eisley remained a small nation and struggled to maintain economic output while also suffering from large amounts of corruption and having little to no political autonomy from New Illyricum.

The Socialist Republic of The Eisley (Illyrian Iberic: Soçaelesta Repoleca de le Esly, Eisleyian Iberic: Socealesta Repobleca de le Isly), more simply known as The Eisley (Illyrian Iberic: Le Esly, Eisleyian Iberic: Le Isly), was a socialist nation in southern Ecros from 1854 to 1956. It was bordered by New Illyricum to the north and Tyrandor to the south, and it was entirely landlocked. The Eisley was founded by Luceo Alo who overthrew the Protestant Republic of The Eisley in 1854 and was elected the first President. The Eisley struggled with a lack of economic output and political autonomy, mostly stemming from the nation's small population and the Marinicum Accords, which was a set of agreements signed between New Illyricum and The Eisley in 1854 limiting The Eisley's political autonomy and rendering it effectively a satellite state of New Illyricum.
