The Ministry of Defense is the main entity that executes defense and domestic security policy. It is led by the Minister of Defense with varying Deputy Ministers involved in leading sublevels of the ministry. The legislative counterparts to the ministry are the National Parliament Chamber on Military Affairs, Chamber on Veterans Affairs, Chamber on Immigration and Citizenship, Chamber on Intelligence and Counterterrorism, and the Chamber on Nuclear Force. The Ministry of Defense is the largest governmental organization, emcompassing all elements of domestic and global defense and operations, including nuclear weapons and clandestine operations.

The Ministry of Defense is separated into three major Deputy Ministries and the Joint Command Staff, which houses the three branches of the Icarisian Armed Forces.
