This vehicle is notable for being Screw-propelled, allowing it to traverse inhospitable terrains. The vehicle is mainly used by the Reykanes fire brigade (Slökkviliðið Reykjanes) for search and rescue operations in the northern regions, where ordinary vehicles can't reach. Multiple nations use it to travel around in Tierrasur as it can easily overcome the obstacles that occur on the landmass.
Generally the UVR 2002 has to be carried on a heavy trucks since the vehicle cannot travel on asphalt, as a example another vehicle by Utanvegar, UVR 2005 is used in Reykanes.
