The team currently uses Markusse Automobiles power units and chassis, although historically the team has used power units by other manufacturers. The team is currently headquartered in Bellun near the Circuit dl Sud. Owned by Teo Markusse, the team has Annamengia Sante and Olivier de Marsotte as their race drivers as of 2024, with Sante debuting in the season.
History
Early racing
Perathoner-Markusse, the predecessor to Markusse Automobiles, first produced a racing car in 1902 - the Perathoner-Markusse 3 "Saéta" (lightning), based on the Perathoner-Markusse 3, the first factory-produced car of Perathoner-Markusse. It was the first car designed specifically for racing in Northern Ecros. It was able to reach a maximum speed of 82 km/h (51 mph).
Racing division
Perathoner-Markusse formally formed a racing division in 1910, to enter amateur drivers in Quebecshire, Tirol and Entropan. By 1912 the division had eight drivers and following a series of wins in the incline races in the Dolomita, gained substantial support and following in Tirol. The division saw automobile racing and motorsports gain traction within Tirol with a growing following.
In 1920, Andrin Markusse, then chair of Perathoner-Markusse Racing, sought to establish a circuit for the Tiroler Grand Prix, which had been routed the length of the Isarch valley. Following an agreement at the Racing Federation of Tirol, an airfield near San Laurënz was purchased by the federation and over the course of two years created the Circuit dl Sud. On the original track layout of the Circuit dl Sud, the racing division of Perathoner-Markusse dominated, winning over half of the x Grand Prixs held there in the pre-Gran-Prix One era.
