The Cabinet of Hapatmitas (Eusazy: Caibineat na Hapatmitas), formally known as the National Government (Riaghaltas Nàiseanta), is the chief executive body of the Commonwealth of Hapatmitas. It consists of the First Minister and cabinet ministers. The fundamentals of the cabinet's organisation, election and appointment, and procedure for dismissal are laid down in the 1972 constitution.
Like other parliamentary systems in Terraconserva, the Cabinet, including the First Minister, is responsible to parliament. Subsequently, parliament may dismiss any minister within cabinet by a vote of no confidence. If the cabinet and/or the First Minister lose a confidence motion, the National Government may transition into a caretaker government and the first minister is allowed to ask the Presidency for the dissolution of parliament, triggering a snap election within 60 days; the first minister may also ask the Presidency to declare a legislative state of emergency, which allows the cabinet to use a simplified procedure that will enable for bills to be passed with the majority consent of the provincial legislatures.
By convention, the first minister and other cabinet ministers are also delegates in the National Assembly.
