Reykani Overseas Territories (Reykani:Reykjani yfirráðasvæði erlendis) consists two Reykan-administered territories outside the main island of Reykanes. The permanently inhabited territories are internally self-governing, with Reykanes retaining responsibility for defence and foreign relations. Overseas regions have exactly the same status as Reykanes's mainland regions since the government treats all parts of the territories equally and thus anyone born on those territories recieves Reykan citizenship and passports. The Reykan Constitution provides that, in general, Reykan laws and regulations apply to Reykan overseas regions just as main island of Reykanes, but can be adapted as needed to suit the region's particular needs. Hence, the local administrations of Reykan overseas regions cannot themselves pass new laws.
