Perathoner-Markusse, the predecessor to Markusse Automobiles, first produced a racing car in 1902 - the Perathoner-Markusse 3 "Saéta" (lightning), based on the Perathoner-Markusse 3, the first factory-produced car of Perathoner-Markusse. It was the first car designed specifically for racing in Northern Ecros. It was able to reach a maximum speed of 82 km/h (51 mph).
