The SR 23 or 'Buffalo', named due to its size and integrity, is a 3rd generation Saratovan Main Battle Tank, designed by defence company SARARM throughout the 2010's. The Buffalo entered production in June 2023 after completing its test trials earlier that year. It is set to become Saratov's primary Main Battle Tank, replacing the aging Senior Class of tanks, the military has placed an order of 2,000 tanks but this is unlikely to be completed until 2026/2027 due to the amount of time required to put together the new tank and source all the materials.
The SR-23 features an autoloader, not seen before in Saratovan MBT's and the KORS sight system created by the Kerenko Arms Corporation which allows for the sight to automatically identify targets and calibrate for forces such as wind resistance which could impact the projectile's trajectory.
