The S-30 class, was a class of diesel-electric powered submarines designed and constructed by Bluefront Inc., that were used by the Kivuian Navy from 1974 to 2010.
In addition to its torpedo eight tubes in the bow, this class of submarines has two at the stern and one in each fin. 12 tubes in total. All are for 550 mm (21.7 inches) torpedoes in diameter; while the front tubes contain full-length torpedoes (either against a ship or against a submarine), the stern tubes only contain shorter torpedoes (only against submarines, in self-defense). The front immersion planes are located below the middle plane of the hull. In a profile view, the bow dome, where the sonar is located, stands out from other models of submarines.
