The entirety of Ajakanistan was occupied and administrated by Ostlandet Union forces following the end of the OU military intervention in Ajakanistan. The occupation was established immediately following the surrender of Ajaki forces with the Ajaki Instrument of Surrender. Ajakanistan was split into three zones to be administered by the victorious OU powers: Gjorka, Paleocacher and New Gandor. The Ajaki capital of Zheleboksarsk, located in the Paleocacherian Zone, was also split between the victorious powers.

The Free Council of Ajakanistan established the Constitutional Tsardom of Ajakanistan during the OU occupation, and is the de facto ruiling government of the country, however the OU occupation forces retain administrative power within the country. The occupation was set to end March 12, 2024, one year after the surrender of Ajaki forces. However the occupation ended early on September 8th, 2023 due to the OU military intervention in Shaoyu
