Montesayetteans, commonly known as Montesayetois or Montesayetoises, are people associated with Montesayette. The term typically refers to the descendants of Quebecshirite settlers in Montesayette and includes people of various ethnic backgrounds residing in the country. Montesayetteans predominantly speak langues d'oïl, including Montesayettean Quebecshirite and other closely related languages influenced by Kivuian with loaned words. However, the Montesayettean government has strictly mandated Quebecshirite use for all official bureaucratic processes, aiming to enhance efficiency. Although the Montesayettean federal government makes exceptions to the use of Montesayettean Quebecshirite, allowing its usage alongside standard Quebecshirite in certain cases. However, other minor languages have declined in usage over the past century.
