The Military Region of South San Paolo (Salisfordian: Regione Militare di San Paolo Meridionale, commonly shortened to San Paolo Meridionale) was an interim occupation authority established during the Rubicon War by the Kingdom of Salisford that included areas of present-day San Pablo. It remained in existence until early 1969 when the territory was reconquered by Creeperopolis. Plans were promoted to transfer the region to a civilian administration following the conclusion of the Rubicon War, but these plans were shelved following the disasterous collapse of the Salisfordian front near the end of the First Phase. As a result, the region remained under military control until its demise.

History
Administration
The military region was divided into prefectures, which were made up of multiple sub-prefectures. Sub-prefectures consisted of municipalities and their immediate surrounding areas and were governed by an appointed military official called a sub-prefect. These sub-prefectures were grouped together into prefectures, which were themselves governed by a higher military official called a prefect. The sub-prefects reported directly to their prefect, who in turn reported to the legate. The legate was the appointed military governor of the region.

Administrative divisions
The total number of prefectures and sub-prefectures were not constant and varied over the course of the war, depending on how much territory the military region held. However, at the beginning of the second phase, the military region consisted of 4 prefectures and 15 sub-prefectures.
