Leapfrog Games (Monsilvan: 飞跃游戏; pinyin: Fēiyuè Yóuxì) is a Monsilvan video game developer based in Amking. It was founded in April 2003 by Hu Tao and Yan Delun. The company has made a name for itself by developing many notable simulator games and other casual games. From founding until 2013, Leapfrog Games produced mostly small simulation games, such as Train Simulator: Monsilva and Farming Simulator 2007. The company had gathered a decently sized fanbase by 2010, and after its announcement of an upcoming, much larger railway simulator in 2011, the company's popularity soared. In 2013, only months before the planned release of the game, the company was acquired by DCH Software, a Monsilvan video game publisher that had quickly become one of the most well-known in the country and was starting to make a name for itself internationally. Hu Tao's Railway Simulator, named after the co-founder and COO of the company, Hu Tao, was released in November 2013 by Leapfrog and published by DCH Software.
After the company was acquired, it began to receive significantly more funding, allowing it to continue the Hu Tao's Simulators franchise over the next decade. In 2014, Leapfrog Games released another game that had been in slow development before 2013 due to the company's low income, called Harvest Odyssey 2014. The game was a success, with most of its units being sold for the console market, which Leapfrog used to become one of the very few simulator game developers for console. In 2015, the Hu Tao's Simulators franchise was begun with the release of Hu Tao's Global Truck Simulator, which has remained one of Leapfrog's most successful games, with many units still being sold in 2022.
2016 saw the release of Photonix, an online multiplayer first-person shooter game which was developed by both Leapfrog Games, and fellow DCH Software subsidiary, Dragonfire Studios. It was the first shooter game produced by Leapfrog Games, but it saw lots of success, quickly becoming DCH Software's most successful games. The sequel, Photonix 2, was released in early 2023, and is on track to become the most successful game to be published by DCH Software.
