Franconia (Quebecshirite: Ville de Franconie) is a city in Quebecshire. The area was settled in the 800s and sits on the edges of the Franconian Mountain Range, after which it is named. The city has a population of about 1.3 million people and is known for its mineral mining sector, as well as a sizeable tourism sector.
