The American Union is a nation consisting of four North American cities and numerous outposts across the world. The nation was formed on April 16, 2023 by HolyEpicPenguin, who declared himself as President of the American Union. According to an overview of the nation written by MrMcgee117, the nation stands for "liberty and Justice" and "protecting American cities from foreign powers", while the nation strongly opposes what it calls "colonialism."
Before the launch of Svedonia's Earth Minecraft Server, HolyEpicPenguin and OnTheHorizon143 had both talked about settling in Pennsylvania, eventually agreeing to "unite under the great flag of Pennsylvania as one faction" on April 12. Shortly after, MrMcgee117 revealed that he planned on settling Chicago, and requested to work with Pennsylvania. The three eventually agreed to form an American nation. The faction was officially created on the server on April 16, with Philadelphia becoming the nation's capital. On the same day, HolyEpicPenguin defended a sheep farm in New Jersey against an incursion by the Kalmar Union.
