The Revanchist Coalition, (Quebecshirite: Coalition Revanchiste) is the largest political party the Serene State of Quebecshire. It is the primary organized group that advocates Revanchism in Quebecshire. It was originally a broad coalition that, in the modern era, became a grouping of the National Union, Labour Party, Liberal-Democrats of Quebecshire, Quebecshire Conservatives, and the Quebecshirite Greens. In 2020, following the 2019-20 Morovan Crisis and the 2020 Bostonia Attacks, Speaker of the Parliament Lucien LaRochelle moved to consolidate the organization into one party with a clear and concise doctrine for Quebecshire, claiming that Quebecshire needed a clearly principled leadership that maintained the same element of broad appeal.[1]
The party published their manifesto for Quebecshire, the Thesis of Revanchism, in 2020, prior to standing in the 2020 Quebecshirite Election Series as a centralized party.
History
The earliest foundations of the Revanchist Coalition can be traced back to the political alliances following the Quebecshirite Civil War. The earliest electoral influence it had was the election of Arsène Champlain following Yvon Delsarte’s commencing of his tenure as Grandmaster. The first Parliament of Quebecshire saw a general mix of prior Monarchists and Republicans working to reconstruct the nation following the war, and the standards set by the Revanchist Coalition were applicable in many following elections.
At several points in history the coalition suffered unity issues due to political disagreements and did not send unified candidates. Other times it had lost elections due to leadership controversies or other issues. Nonetheless, in the modern era, it is considered one of the most influential non-governmental organizations. The Revanchist Coalition published their manifesto, Thesis of Revanchism, in 2020, following its unification into one party.
