The Ministry of Defense is the main entity that executes defense and domestic security policy. It is led by the Minister of Defense with varying Deputy Ministers involved in leading sublevels of the ministry. The legislative counterparts to the ministry are the National Parliament Chamber on Military Affairs, Chamber on Veterans Affairs, Chamber on Immigration and Citizenship, Chamber on Intelligence and Counterterrorism, and the Chamber on Nuclear Force. The Ministry of Defense is the largest governmental organization, emcompassing all elements of domestic and global defense and operations, including nuclear weapons and clandestine operations.

Structure

The Ministry of Defense is separated into three major Deputy Ministries and the Joint Command Staff, which houses the three branches of the Icarisian Armed Forces.

Handles budget and coordinating the other Deputy Ministers.

Deputy Minister of Global and Domestic Security

Office of Counterterrorism

Uses information and intelligence from the multiple sources to identify and assess current and future terror threats to the Theocratic States of Icaris.

Icarisian Stability Service

Leads the civilian and intelligence communities. Provides national security intelligence by collecting, analyzing, and disseminating information. Protects Icarisian information systems and processes foreign intelligence information.

Deputy Minister of Policy Strategy and Public Outreach

Office of Legislative Affairs

Coordinates policy of the MoD with the National Parliament of Icaris.

Office of Political-Military Relations

Coordinates policies of the MoD with the Ministry of International Relations.

Office of Veterans Affairs

Handles all providing life-long health and welfare services to veterans and active duty military members.

Office of Active Duty Personnel Logistics

Within the Office of Veterans Affairs, works with each branch of the military to coordinate all assignments of military members, facilitates professional development, and manages promotion boards and resources.

Deputy Minister of Organizational Support

Handles many of the programs that sustain and support the Ministry and prepare it for the future.

Office of Program Analysis and Evaluation

Assesses all programs for efficiency and efficacy.

Office of Research and Development

Dedicated to leading the discovery, development, and integration of warfighting technologies, planning and executing the branches science and technology programs, and providing warfighting capabilities to the military.

Office of Technological Advancement and Acquisitions

Acquires systems for all branches of the Icarisian military.

Counsel to the Ministry

Advises senior leadership and defends ministry in court.
