16 locations near stadiums were prepared by the AJP to act as team base camp locations. Each team requires a base camp before and during the tournament for accommodation and training facilities. A team base camp consists of a hotel with appropriate comfort, privacy and safety standards as well as nearby, first class training facilities. Good infrastructure is required around the base camp and as such 10 out of the 16 base camps are within 5 miles of the stadia.

On 3 April 2017, the AJP officially submitted their bid book to the LFE.
