The KMK 546 is a select fire rifle produced by the Kerenko Arms Corporation between 1993 and 2005 for the Saratovan Special Forces and Minsec Internal Forces. After is discontinuation in 2005, the Saratovan Government sold around 500,000 service and surplus guns to New Illyricum as part of a controversial weapons deal. The rest were converted into semi-automatic carbines and sold to the civilian market nationally and globally to pay for production of the new Kerenko MK08 rifle, which was taking the place of the KMK in service in Special Forces and Ministry of Security, this action has received much backlash as it gave criminals and paramilitaries easy access to modern rifles and many rifles were converted shoddily, allowing for many semi-automatic rifles and carbines to be reconverted into full-auto assault rifles.
