The KMK 546 is a select fire rifle produced by the Kerenko Arms Corporation between 1993 and 2009 for the Saratovan Special Forces and Minsec Internal Forces. After is discontinuation in 2012, the Saratovan Government began converting old rifles into semi-automatic carbines and selling them to the civilian market nationally and globally to pay for production of the new K MK08 rifle, which was taking the place of the KMK in service in Special Forces and Ministry of Security, this action has received much backlash as it gave criminals and paramilitaries easy access to modern rifles and many rifles were converted shoddily, allowing for many semi-automatic rifles and carbines to be reconverted into select-fire rifles.
