Elections in Karimun have taken place since 1946, the first election after the formation of the modern state of the Federation of Karimun to elect a legislature under the Federal Constitution of Karimun. Elections in Karimun are of several types; at the national level, the president, vice president, the member of the People's Consultative Assembly are elected for a five years term and at the regional level, depends on the states' constitutions.
