Political career
Spurling began his career at the Defense Research and Analysis Center. From 2043-2045 he was a policy advisor to the Deputy Minister of Global and Domestic Security. His work in MoD got him noticed and he went to work as a defense policy advisor for Prime Minister Danyal Sadik.
