The Kingdom of Balintnic-Saegalia, commonly known as Balintnic-Saegalia was a short-lived state in Northwest Glaskarn that existed from 1481-1495. They gained independence from the Krystallic Empire after a year of fighting for their independence as a solution to differences in culture and ethnic practice. Their independence was assisted by the tribal nation of Fallkirk-Kilmorack. In 1480, they expelled Krystallic Empire officials from their territories. The Krystallic Empire was stretched thin across the continent and they knew they weren't strong enough to maintain support to that area of the Empire. The Krystallic Empire was largely Ursha speaking, and practiced Margath Jursanity whereas the Kingdom of Balintnic-Saegalia mostly practice Thjorica and spoke Ballo, Saegalian, and Mirvan. They also believed the Krystallic Empire did not embody the Northern Spirit that the Old Grjotans did.

History

Government and politics

Immediately upon the foundation of Balintnic-Saegalia there was debate over how it should be governed. While a unified state, there were distinct differences in the makeup, primarily based upon ethnicity. The Balintnic people preferred establishing a constituional monarchy with checks and balances, not present in the Krystallic Empire. The Saegalia people wanted to establish a representative government, with no clear single ruler.

What both ethnic groups agred upon was religion. Their Thorjica religion. Brotherhood of Faith or Knights or whatever led.
