Weber ran for the selection nomination and was elected by a large amjority in 2064. President Isabella Vidal selected him official following the election results, replacing Cynthia Masterson.

He didn't feel his policy preferences and political nature was aggressive enough to serve the ends of the newly elected Tommy Papillion.
