Auetal officially the State of Auetal (Kivuian: Staat Auetal), is a province in western Kivu bordering the provinces of Ahalebên, Brenawald, Wulkanald, Ackarem, and Lohne. Aerzen is the state capital of Auetal, as well as the largest city. Auetal is the twelveth-largest of Kivu’s twenty five staats, with an area of 65,569 square kilometres (25,316 sq mi), and the fourth-most populous, with 3,267,087 inhabitants, as of 2020.
