The 7th Alpine Brigade (Ladin: 7. Brigada Alpin) is a brigade of the Tiroler Defence Forces with a long service history, including major deployments in the Red Winter and the Ajaki–Reykani War. It is based in Schwaz in the Andreas Hofer Camp. It was first created after the Tiroler Civil War and it continues much of the tradition of the Royal Jäger from the Kingdom of Tirol. Previously, it has been designated as 1 Alpine Division, Alpine Brigade 1 and under the 1956 army reforms was given its present designation 7. Alpine Brigade, which remained unchanged in the 2020 reforms.
Red Winter
Ajaki–Reykani War
In late 1958 the brigade was deployed to Reykanes to aid in the defence of X against the Ajaki Armed Forces. This was the first major deployment of the brigade since the fallout of the Tiroler Civil War.
